Day 01: Arrival Cochin
Arrival at Cochin. It was a very popular & historical sea trade connection with Middle East, Mediterranean Europe & Dutch. This city has one of the finest natural harbours on the Arabian coastline. Its cosmopolitan character is reflected in the buildings & structures representing different regions of the world.

Day 02: Cochin
Today you will be taken for a guided tour of Cochin. While exploring Cochin City, you will visit St. Francis' Church, which was built in the year 1503 by Portuguese Francisan Friars & known to be the oldest European church in India. This Church was restored in the year 1779 by the protestant Dutch, converted to an Anglican Church by the British in 1795. The great traveller Vasco da Gama's remains were buried here in 1524 & later moved to Lisbon, Portugal. You will also be taken to Dutch Palace, which was originally built by the Portuguese. In 17th century they modified this Palace & presented it to the Raja (King) of Kochi (Cochin). The Dutch Palace has a fine collection of mural paintings depicting scenes from Hindu epics, Ramayana and Mahabharata.
You will visit Jews Town, synagogue, which was built in the year 1568. It is magnificently decorated by Chinese tiles & Belgian chandeliers. Giant scrolls of the Old Testament can be found here. Also visit the spice market, where you will feel a different charm and new colour. In the market, the air is filled with attractive smell of spices & history that brought the world to its doorstep. Chinese fishing nets, (Cheenavala) are distinctly unique to Cochin. It is believed that traders from the court of the Chinese ruler Kublai Khan introduced these nets here.
Evening Kathkali Dance: Evening you will be taken to enjoy the Kathkali Dance show.
This dance form is the one of most famous dance performance in Kerala. It draws its theme from the great and rich wealth of Indian mythology and folklore. Expressions of face and eyes hold the key to perfection. This dance form is known for its attractive costumes, exceptional make up, the elaborately painted faces which is often mistaken for masks and grand headgears.
Later back to hotel for overnight stay.

Day 03 Cochin - Periyar (145 kms - 5 hr)
After breakfast, you will be driven to one of the finest wildlife sanctuaries in India, the Periyar Wildlife Reserve. This sanctuary is set on an attractive lakeside which is the most popular Wildlife Sanctuary of Southern India. This place is also known for cruise on the lake and has a great chance to see a vast variety of wildlife. This sanctuary is the home to the big cats tigers, leopards, bison, antelopes, sambhar and most important elephants. Other wild animals are also found including birds.
After finishing the check in formalities at hotel, you will explore the sanctuary to experience the beauty of nature and how it has created the whole ecology.
Evening visit Spice Plantations where you can have a knowledge of various kind of spices for which western coast is famous.

Day 04 : Periyar- Kumarakom (135 km - 04 hr)
Get ready for an excited day filled with lots of adventure and other activities. Just to start with you will enjoy Elephant ride at Periyar.
In the afternoon you will be taken to Kumarakom, which is known for backwaters, mammoth Vembanad Lake and home for variety of migratory birds the very famous Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary.

Day 05: Kumarakom - Alleppy (Overnight Houseboat)
Check out from the hotel and board the houseboat, which is locally called Kettuvallam. You will enjoy a life time experience where cruise around the beautiful backwaters of Kumarakom to Alleppy. You will observe and experience the daily routine life of the villagers along the backwaters.

Day 06 : Arrive Alleppy : Alleppy - Cochin (65 kms - 1 hr) and Cochin - Goa
(By flight via Bangalore)
Enjoy your breakfast while sailing on the boat and before reaching the boat jetty where you will disembark from houseboat and will be driven to Cochin to board flight for Goa via Bangalore, Upon you arrival at Goa airport, Tree Trunk Travel representative will pick you from airport and will take you to hotel for check in formalities.
